I recorded this mix late one night after only a few hours of preparation. I can’t say it was mixed live in one take, although that was my intention, but it’s mostly live as I only redid the second and last mixes. I used two CDJs and a mixer (which I hired for the day) and kept things plain and simple in the mix, focusing instead on programming. I tried to honour each track and keep the artist’s music at the forefront. Special thanks to all of the musicians whose work I used. I hope I’ve done my bit to help their music reach a wider audience, which it so deserves! -JB
